Zamalek defender Salah Soliman is confirmed to be out of action for almost a week after fracturing his zygomatic bone (cheekbone) during the game against Ittihad El-Shorta in the 11th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League Wednesday.
"Medical scans have showed that Salah Soliman suffers a broken zygomatic bone injury," read a statement on Zamalek's website Thursday.
"The defender will be under medical observation for 24 hours and he needs a week to recover from the injury," the statement added.
The Whites will feel Soliman's absence as they don't have a replacement for the defender outside starlet Hamada Toulba.
Zamalek are competing in the Egyptian Premier League as they topping the teams table as well as representing Egypt in the CAF Champions League.
