Ahly are finalising negotiations with Ismaily to land their goalkeeper Mosad Awad for LE1 million ($144,000) next season.
The coastal club insist they want defender Mohamed Abdel-Fattah 'Taha' on loan in exchange, but Ahly isn't going for it.
If Ahly gets the deal, however, they will have to decide whether to release Mahmoud Abou El-Soud or Ahmed Adel.
Goalie Awad starred in the Egyptian national team in African Under-20 Championship, helping them win the trophy and secure a place in the 2013 Youth World Cup in Turkey.
