Ahmed Musa scored a late goal in the 81st minute to give Nigeria a precious win over hosts Kenya in Wednesday's World Cup qualifier.

Musa's goal sent the Super Eagles to the top of Group F with 8 points, 2 points clear of second-placed Malawi, who were held to a goalless draw by Namibia earlier the same day.

Nigeria is now set to face Namibia next Wednesday in Windhoek, while Malawi will host Kenya – currently at the bottom of the group – on the same day.

The winners of the ten groups will advance to a two-leg playoff that will determine Africa's five representatives at next year's World Cup in Brazil.
