Egypt’s U-20 side won their first warm-up for the World Cup on Saturday, smashing Kosovo 8-0. However, coach Rabie Yassine was not entirely satisfied.

"It's only the fourth game for the team and we need more time to build up the players' confidence and achieve and harmony," Yassine said in a television interview after the game.

The young Pharaohs lost twice and drew once in their pre-World Cup freindlies during their ongoing training camp in Switzerland, losing 1-0 to Brazil and 3-1 to Montenegro and drawing 2-2 with Romania.

"It's also the first camp for the team in two years," Yassine added.

"I ask for Egyptian media support before the World Cup as we are now on the right track."

Egypt, who won the U-20 African Championship in Algeria earlier this year, have been drawn in Group E of the World Cup along with England, Chile and Iraq.

They begin their campaign against Chile on 23 June at the Akdeniz University Stadium in Antalya.
