The Orlando Pirates of South Africa failed to make use of their home advantage as they managed a goalless draw against the AC Leopards of Congo in the group stage opener of the CAF Champions League on Saturday.

The hosts lost more chances throughout the game and failed to find the net while the visiting Leopards saw the draw as a fair away game result, and defended well to save their nets.

The goalless draw will benefit Egyptian giants Ahly and Zamalek when they play each other in the same round on Wednesday, as it ease the way for one of the two teams to top the group table.

Egypt's Ahly and Zamalek are in Group A alongside the Orlando Pirates of South Africa and the Congolese AC Leopards in the CAF Champions League.
