A police officer says 'a search is underway' to locate the diplomat's position

Unknown gunmen kidnapped an Iranian diplomat in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Sunday, a police official told AFP.

"A search is underway to locate" the diplomat who was snatched from a street near Tehran's embassy in the southern district of Hada, the official said.
