“We could have scored a lot of goals but my players, especially Dominique Da Silva squandered them all,” the Portuguese tactician told a press conference after the game.

New Mauritanian striker, Da Silva had three clear chances on target but his poor finishing was no threat to the South African keeper.

However, he managed to double the lead in the 85th minute after Ossama Hosni’s early lead in the 3rd minute to seal a comfortable win for the Red Devils.

“He is a very good and skillful player, but he is still young and needs a lot of experience and to get rid of the pressure.”

“We played a good game today but we will have to watch again to see our mistakes and avoid it in the return leg,” he concluded.

Ahly will fly to South Africa to play the return leg on 2 April.
