Egyptian poet Sharif El-Shafie reflects on himself in his sixth poetry collection recently released by Alghaoon publishing house in Beirut

Egyptian poet Sharif Al-Shafie has released his sixth poetry collection from Alghaoon publishing house in Beirut entitled Ka’anho Qamar Youhaserny (As if a Moon Surrounding Me).

The collection comprises 30 poems, representing a reflection of the poet on his own self. The poems are a shift in the poetry experience of El-Shafie since his last collection where he reflected on himself through the idea of a robot. His previous collection was published under the title The Complete Works of a Robot.

Sharif El-Shafie, born in 1972, is an Egyptian poet and journalist. He heads the cultural section of Nisfldunia Magazine, published by Al-Ahram. He has authored six poetry collections.
