Esperance gained a slight first-leg advantage after holding Orlando Pirates to a 0-0 draw in Johannesburg in the African Champions League semi-final on Saturday.
In an exciting game, both sides had their fair share of chances to settle the tie in their favour.
Hosts Orlando Pirates launched a late onslaught but were denied by some impressive saves from Esperance keeper Moez Ben Cherifia.
