Few hours before the transfer window closed, Zamalek continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season as they signed Ismaily striker Ahmed Ali on a three-year contract on Tuesday.
Ali, who joined Ismaily in 2009 from Assiut Petroleum, was a regular starter for Ismaily during the past four years and earned several call-ups for Egypt's squad under coach Hassan Shehata.
The Cairo giants also announced earlier on Tuesday that they had signed Gouna's striker Arafa El-Sayed for three years.
The arrival of Ali and El-Sayed boosted a Zamalek frontline which previously boasted only one established striker in Ahmed Gaafar following the departure of foreign frontmen Abdoulaye Cisse and Razak Omotoyossi.
The club have also signed 19-year-old winger Mostafa Fathy from second division side Belkas. He penned a five-year contract with the club.
The five-time African champions announced on Monday the signing of Egypt's U-20 defender Yasser Ibrahim who arrived on a five-year contract.
