Ismaily goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhy will miss his side's games against Canal and Beni Suef Telephones in the first and second weeks of the Egyptian Premier League.

"Sobhy will be out of actions for two weeks due to muscle strain alongside back muscle problems," an Ismaily doctor was quoted as saying on the club's official website on Friday.

International goalkeeper Sobhy, who is the Dervishs' first team shot-stopper, sustained the injury during his team's preparations for the league start.

The domestic Egyptian Premier League is scheduled to start on 26 December after it has been twice delayed due to lack of coordination between the association and security authorities.

The 2013-2014 Egyptian Premier league season will be played in a two-group format as Ismaily have drawn Group B alongside Zamalek, Masry, Petrojet, Talae El-Gaish, Canal, Menya, Ittihad El-Shorta, Beni Suef Telephones, Wadi Degla and Haras El-Hodoud.
