Ismaily's superb start to the season was dealt a blow after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Ittihad El-Shorta on the 4th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.

The Dervishes had won their first three league matches, including against Egypt Cup holders Zamalek last Thursday.

Despite today's draw, coastal side Ismaily remain top of Group B with 10 points.

Cairo giants Ahly currently top Group A with 6 points.

Also on Tuesday, Haras El-Hodoud drew 1-1 with Beni Suef Telephones.

Military side El-Hodoud needed to win as they are bottom of Group B with just two points from four matches, while Beni Suef Telephones are tenth with the same points.

Promoted side Minya failed to secure their second win of the season after a 1-0 loss against Qanah. Minya remain eighth in Group B with three points, while Qanah jumped from seventh to fourth place with 5 points.
