Ten-man Smouha handed Arab Contractors their first defeat this season to move five points clear at the top of Group A in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.
The Alexandria-based club, who played most of the second half with a numerical disadvantage following the 52nd-minute dismissal of Abdel-Rahman Mohy, claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Contractors to continue their impressive run.
A 65th-minute goal from playmaker Alaa Ali gave Smouha their third successive win.
Smouha are leading Group A with 22 points, five clear of second-placed Arab Contractors. Defending champions Ahly lie third on 16 points.
