In-form Smouha opened up a seven-point gap at top of Group A after beating Dakhleya 2-0 in a delayed game from the seventh week in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
The Alexandrians were lifted by goals from Ghanaian forward Ernest Papa Arko and former Zamalek midfielder Alaa Aly both sides of the interval.
Smouha, who claimed their fourth straight win to cement their position on the summit with 25 points, stretched their unbeaten run to eight games.
Their last defeat came against Ahly, who currently lie in fourth place on 16 points, early last month.
