German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Saturday said she was concerned by the developments in Crimea, after Kiev accused Moscow of sending thousands of troops to the flashpoint Black Sea peninsula.
"What is happening in Crimea worries us," Merkel said in a speech at a cultural event in Berlin, stressing the importance of "preserving the territorial integrity" of Ukraine.
