Zamalek's winger Omar Gamal already wants to leave after only joining the club in January.

"Coach Mido has confirmed that Omar Gamal has asked to terminate his contract with the club and leave," said a statement on the club's official website on Monday.

The statement added that Gamal is now out of Mido's calculations regarding the squad and that Mido has no hard feelings about the departure.

The 31-year old winger joined the Whites on a two-and-half season deal in January after a six-month spell with Libyan side Ahly Tripoli.

Mido had been hoping that Gamal would add some depth to his squad, especially after the departure of Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek and Mahmoud "Shikabala" Abdel-Razek.

However, the talented winger – who had his glory days with Ismaily several years ago – failed to break through Zamalek's starting lineup, seeing only a few minutes of play as a second-half substitute.

Mido dropped him from the squad travelling to Angola to play Kabuscorp in the return leg of the African Champions League round of 32.

Defender Salah Soliman has also been left out of the trip due to injury.
