Criminal court approves freezing assets of Egypt's former ministers

Amidst decisions taken on four former ministers assets, the court has approved banning Prince Al-Walid Bin Talal from using illegally earmarked land

Egypt’s criminal court approved, on Tuesday, to freeze assets and properties of former Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, former Minister of Public Business Sector Mokhtar Khattab, former Agricultural Minister Youssef Wali and businessman Mohamed El-Danaf.

The court has also approved the General Prosecutor’s decision to ban Prince Al-Walid Bin Talal from using the 100 thousand feddans (420 million square metres) of land considered illegally earmarked for him in Toshka.

The decision regarding the former Minister of Petroleum, Sameh Fahmy, has been postponed until the Wednesday session.
