Egypt coach Hector Cuper has praised his striker Mohamed Salah of AS Roma, saying he expects from him much future of success.

“Salah looks great. On top of his strengths as a player. He’s also a good person. He’s professional, experienced and very humble, like virtually everyone here," Cuper was quoted as saying about AS Roma.

"If he continues the way he’s going, he can become one of the best players in the world. I would love that for him."

The record holders, who are bidding for their eighth Africa Cup of Nations after being ejected from in the last three editions, are competing with Uganda, Mali and Ghana in the Gabon edition taking place 14 January to 5 February.

“We have a base of excellent local players, courtesy of a very competitive domestic league," Cuper explained.

Cuper has also praised Hull City winger Ahmed Elmohamady, Stoke City forward Ramadan Sobhi and Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny.

"We then have several top-quality players like Elmohamady, Ramadan Sobhi and Elneny, who play in the Premier League, plus Salah,” he concluded.
