Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic believes that his side could build on their convincing second half performance against Ghana in the Group opener when they face Egypt on Saturday.
The Cranes lost 1-0 to Ghana in the group D opener on Tuesday.
"We had a slow start in the first match but steadily made amends in the second half," Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic told reporters on Thursday.
"We ought to build on the second half performance and this means the match with Egypt is a continuation of the second half with Ghana."
Uganda have to avoid loss when they face Egypt on Saturday to keep their hopes alive in the continental tournament.
They lie at the group's bottom without any points, three points behind leaders Ghana.
