The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced Thursday the final referees list for this summer's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled between 21 June and 19 July in Egypt.
Egyptian international referees Ibrahim Nour El-Din and Amin Omar featured in the list while Gehad Greisha was dropped due to his current suspension.
Greisha, who featured in the preliminary list, was suspended for six months by the CAF due to poor performance during the first-leg of the Champions League final between Tunisian side Esperance de Tunis and Wydad de Casablanca of Morocco.
The game saw many controversial decisions from the Egyptian referee that prompted the Moroccan Football Association to file an official complaint against Greisha with the CAF.
Meanwhile, three assistant referees, Ahmed Hossam Taha, Tahsin Abou El-Sadat and Mahmoud Abou El-Regal, were also selected to officiate in the Nations Cup.
