88' Gennesh pulls off a fine save to thwart a shot from Tanzania captain Samatta.

19:30 Egypt's starting line-up: Ahmed El-Shennawi, Ahmed Elmohamady, Mahmoud Alaa, Ahmed Hegazi, Ayman Ashraf, Nabil Emad, Tarek Hamed, Amr Warda, Abdallah El-Said, Walid Soliman, Ahmed Ali. 

17:00 Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny are unlikely to take part in tonight's game, given that they joined up with the team later than their teammates due to their European commitments. 

16:00 The record seven-time African champions Egypt will play in Group A of the African Nations Cup along with DR Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

14:30 Pharaohs coach Javier Aguirre confirmed the improtance of the friendly game against Tanzania saying "Tanzania and Guinea freindlies are very important as we are looking for more harmony between the players."
"I will test all the players during the two games to make the final choice ahead of the Nations Cup" he added.

13:00 The Pharaohs kicked off their preparation camp last Thursday that includes another friendly against Guinea set to be played on Sunday.

11:00 Egypt to start their final preparations for the Nations Cup with a friendly against Tanzania at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab stadium on Thursday as coach Aguirre is looking to make his final choices ahead of the tournament.
