Egypt winger Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneim has expressed delight after scoring the winner against Morocco Sunday in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite Moroccan domination in most of the game with many chances wasted, the 22-year-old Zamalek loanee to Ittihad Jeddah has snatched a last-gasp winner from a corner, two minutes from the time.
"I knew I would score. Each and every time I sit on the bench, I feel I will play and make a difference," Kaharaba told an Egyptian TV program after the game.
Kaharaba thanked the Egyptian fans and his teammates, expressing his wishes the Pharaohs win their eighth title.
Egypt will face Burkina Faso in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
