The Egyptian national football team’s director Ihab Leheita announced on Thursday that West Bromwich Albion's defender Ahmed Hegazi will be fit to join the Pharaohs squad ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations after suffering a minor injury.
"We followed up on Hegazi's injury and he will be with us in the African Cup of Nations," Leheita told a television programme early on Thursday.
"We are in contact with all our foreign based players playing overseas."
Egypt will host the Nations Cup, which has been expanded to 24 teams, from 21 June to 19 July.
The record seven-time African champions will play in Group A along with DR Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
Egypt, who won their last Nations Cup title in 2010, reached the final of the 2017 edition only to lose 2-1 to Cameroon.
