Egyptian pop singer Hakim will be performing at the opening ceremony of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Friday at Cairo Stadium.
Hakim, along with Nigerian Femi Kuti and Ivorian Dobet Gnahoré, will perform the tournament's official anthem.
The trio will be performing their new song Metgamaeen (Together), whose lyrics are in Arabic, English and French.
A video clip will soon be released for the audio track, which has already been published on various internet platforms.
Hakim has been one of the country's top shaabi (folk pop) singers over the last three decades, performing with international stars including James Brown.
Four-time Grammy nominated Afrobeats artist Femi Kuti performed at the 2010 World Cup opening ceremony in South Africa.
Gnahoré, who won her first Grammy in 2010 for Best Urban/Alternative Performance, is another renowned Afrobeat star.
The celebration will host many VIPs and high-profile diplomatic representation alongside with football officials headed by FIFA boss Gianni Infantino.
The championship's first game, between Egypt and Zimbabwe, will kick-off at 10pm, shortly after the opening ceremony.
This is the first time Egypt is hosting the tournament since 2006.
