Egypt will hold a training camp in the UAE from 9 to 17 October, as part of their preparations for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, scheduled to take place in Côte d'Ivoire in January 2024.

During the camp, Egypt are set to play two friendly matches, the first against Zambia on 12 October and the second against Algeria on 16 October.

Vitoria's squad announcement includes the return of Arsenal’s midfielder Mohamed Elneny and Trabzonspor’s winger Mahmoud “Trezeguet” Hassan, both having recovered from their respective injuries.

Additionally, Ahly's wingers Hussein El-Shahat and Emam Ashour have made a comeback to Egypt’s squad after a significant absence.

Having finished at the top of Group D in the qualifiers with 15 points from six games, alongside second-placed Guinea, Egypt have already secured their place in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
