Namibia secured a well-deserved 1-0 victory over Tunisia on Tuesday in the group opener, showcasing a strong performance against the more experienced Tunisian side.

“We lost the match to a respectable team,” Kadri was quoted as saying by CAF on Wednesday.

“Everyone knows how to attack and defend, and this gives an idea about the development of football on the African continent.”

“We were stronger on paper, but Namibia showed that they were stronger than us in the match,”

Despite the setback, Kadri emphasized that his team still has an opportunity to advance in the group.

He urged the players to focus on the upcoming two matches and recover from their unexpected defeat.

“Two matches are remaining, and our reaction must be positive, and God willing, we can get out of this situation we have put ourselves in,” concluded Kadri.

Tunisia will face Mali on January 20th and conclude their group stage campaign against South Africa four days later.
