The African player of the year raised concerns after missing the team's travel to Bouaké on Monday evening due to abdominal discomfort.

However, the Nigerian national team confirmed via their official X account (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that Osimhen has recovered and rejoined his teammates.

"Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semifinal clash against South Africa on Wednesday," the statement read. "He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today."

Despite being declared fit, Osimhen's fate remains uncertain as the team's medical staff conducts further assessments.

The 25-year-old has been instrumental in Nigeria's run to the semi-finals, contributing to four of the team's six goals.

The Super Eagles are seeking their fourth Nations Cup title in Nigeria's history and the first since 2013.
