Esperance were drawn into Group D alongside Premier League side Chelsea, Brazil’s CR Flamengo, and MLS club Los Angeles FC.
They will begin their campaign on Tuesday 17 June, facing Brazilian champions Flamengo, followed by a match against Los Angeles FC, three days later.
The Blood and Gold, will conclude the group stage on 25 June with a highly anticipated clash against 2021 UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea.
Domestically, Esperance have dominated, winning eight of the last nine league titles, including this season.
However, their recent continental performances have fallen short since their CAF Champions League double in 2018 and 2019.
Their best result since was runners-up finish in 2023.
Esperance were eliminated in the quarter-finals in 2020 and 2024, while reaching the semi-finals in 2021 and 2022.
They secured their place in the Club World Cup as the third-ranked African club in CAF’s continental rankings.
They join fellow African representatives Ahly (Egypt), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), and Wydad deCasablanca (Morocco).
Despite FIFA’s exceptional transfer window for clubs participating in the tournament, Esperance have made no new signings ahead of the Club World Cup.
Coach Maher Kanzari has opted to rely on his regular team.
