The Egyptian champions face Portuguese side Porto on Tuesday in their final Group Stage match at the Club World Cup.
Ahly sit bottom of the group with one point after a goalless draw with Inter Miami and a 2-0 loss to Brazil’s Palmeiras.
They must beat Porto and hope for a favorable result in the Palmeiras–Inter Miami game to have any chance of progressing.
“Winning the next match is very important for us,” Ben Romdhane told DAZN.
“We want to deliver a performance worthy of the club and our supporters.”
“Porto are a strong team with excellent players – and so are Ahly. It will be a tough game, decided by small details. We’re focused on our own game and will give everything we have to secure victory.”
The 25-year-old joined Ahly this summer from Hungarian side Ferencváros and has emerged as one of the club’s top performers among seven new signings.
