Egyptian pop singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab was charged on Saturday with causing damage to the home of her neighbour, actor Sherif Mounir.
Abdel-Wahab's air conditioner leaked water onto the balcony of Mounir, who lives on a lower floor in the same building.
The case will go to court on 27 September.
Prosecutors have also summoned the singer for investigation on a separate case of libel filed by Mounir.
Mounir, 53, has accused Abdel-Wahab, 33, of defamation, saying the singer allegedly insulted him and attempted to attack him.
The actor claimed that a block of marble fell from Abdel-Wahab's balcony and almost injured his daughter. Mounir spoke to Abdel-Wahab to complain about the incident and she swore at him.
Abdel-Wahab, who sold millions in albums over the course of her career, is a coach on the Arab world's edition of TV smash hit The Voice.
Mounir is an established actor who has starred in numerous movies, TV shows and plays since the 1980s.
