The April 6 Youth Movement has demanded that the armed forces and Ministry of Interior ensure that the streets are secure on the “Second Day of Rage,” set for 27 May.
The group said that the government should use an “iron fist” with anyone who attempts to cause insecurity tomorrow.
In a statement released today on its official website, the group said that they are prepared to extend a helping hand to the armed forces and Ministry of Interior to secure the streets. They also said that many activists will work to secure Tahrir Squre and to control anyone who tries to trigger problems there.
In another statement, the movement said that it has distributed 20,000 invites in the governorate of Ismalia, urging people to participate in tomorrow's protests.
The movement’s members have also distributed around 50,000 invites in Alexandria and thousands more in Cairo, in the Heliopolis and Sayeda Zeinab, Maadi, Zaytion, Ain Shams and Dar El-Salam suburbs.
They have also written graffiti messages on walls across the country to urge people to participate tomorrow.
