Citizens at the delta governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh found a mysterious floating container by the sea shore yesterday. Inside were tons of exported Indian meat

In the aftermath of a strong sand and rain storm that hit the nation on Sunday, citizens at the delta governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh found a floating container by the sea shore yesterday. They decided to work together to find out what was inside the mysterious container.

Once they were able to open the container, the citizens of Kafr El-Sheikh discovered tons of exported Indian meat, which, due to its strong locks, was able to float until it reached their shore.

Citizens rallied as soon as they heard of the meat finding, and distributed the contents without even checking the expiration date.

Kafr El-Sheikh’s Governor, Ahmed Abdeen told Al-Ahram’s Arabic portal that this incident comes as a surprise as most ports were closed due to bad weather.

Investigations are taking place now to determine its origin and how it reached Egyptian shores.

At least 18 people were killed yesterday due to the bad weather that hit the country on Sunday. One factory building collapsed in the northern port city of Alexandria, killing at least 14 people and injuring ten, MENA reported, adding that the toll could rise as others are believed to be under the rubble.
