A section of an apartment building collapses in Alexandria, leaving three dead and three injured.
The three story building is located in the Gomrek area in West Alexandria. The rest of the building’s residents were rescued from the site.
The governorate’s operations room and the Gomrek Council will conduct a site survey to assess the effect of the damage on neighboring buildings.
A cordon was put around the site to protect pedestrians from injury. The General Prosecution has given permits to bury the dead and has requested the building portfolio from the council to see if it had any prior removal or renovation orders.
