Numbers of protesters in Cairo's iconic Tahrir Square continue to swell, now estimated in excess of 50,000. While most arrive on the square individually or in small groups, throughout Monday there have been groups ranging from a few dozens to several thousands marching into the square from various districts or universities around the Egyptian capital. Earlier in the day, a group of medical doctors marched into the square in their white coats. As the sun was setting, some 3000 students from Helwan University, in Cairo's industrial suburb of Helwan, reached the square where they were met with a chorus of cheers.
