Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received a telephone call Saturday night from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron during which they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and ways of achieving stability and peace in the area, the French Elysee presidential palace announced.
The Elysee added that the French president also spoke on the telephone on Saturday with US president Donald Trump, Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, and the Secretary General of the UN António Guterres to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East.
Macron's calls with the international and Middle Eastern leaders came hours after he met with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who had arrived in Paris from Saudi Arabia earlier on Saturday.
