One dead, seven injured, roads blocked, trains delayed — all the result of turbulent weather

One child died and seven other people were injured as a result of turbulent weather in Sohag governorate in Upper Egypt.

Manar Hasan, 8, died after the motorbike her father was riding crashed into a lorry due to rain water that had gathered on Agriculture Road in the town of El-Kanabra.

In Al-Akheem district of the governorate, seven were injured after their car overturned on the Western Highway.

In Belyana district, a palm tree fell on the train tracks and resulted in the delay of several trains, including the Spanish Train that was delayed for one hour. Additionally, four trees fell in Nagie El-Deir district, disrupting traffic.

Egypt has been hit by turbulent weather since Tuesday. Skies are expected to clear Friday noon.
