Colder weather is expected across Egypt starting on Thursday according to Egypt's Meteorological Authority, with temperatures to drop by 3-4 degrees Celsius.
The EMA urged citizens to wear heavier clothes and light jackets, given the expected cold weather over the coming week.
In a forecast issued on Wednesday, the EMA also called on citizens to exercise caution while driving in the early hours of the morning as mist will cause low visibility levels, especially on roads close to agricultural areas.
The statement said that weather in Cairo and in the northern coastal cities will be moderate, while temperatures will still be high in Upper Egypt.
The cities along the Suez Canal will be cloudy and will see rain, which could lead to turbulent maritime navigation.
High temperatures on Thursday are forecast as follows:
Cairo: 21-28 degrees
Nile Delta: 23-27 degrees
Suez Canal cities: 18-29 degrees
North Sinai: 17-28 degrees
South Sinai: 26-31 degrees
Upper Egypt: 18-30 degrees
