Unstable, rainy weather to continue in northern Egypt

Several cities and towns in northern Egypt seen rainy, unstable weather on Friday, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported.

There was heavy rain and thunder and lightning in Damietta governorate, and showers in Alexandria, .

Alexandria is already preparing for a seasonal thunderstorm expected next Saturday, according to Egypt’s Meteorological Authority.

The traffic general directorate at the interior ministry warned drivers in Damietta and Alexandria to drive cautiously because of the rain.

The EMA said on Friday that the rain and moderate temperatures would continue in the northern parts of the country.

The south is seeing warmer temperatures.

The temperature in Cairo and Nile Delta will see a high of 29 degrees and a low of 21 degrees on Saturday, while Alexandria and the northern coasts will see a high on 27 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.

North Upper Egypt will see a high of 30 degrees and a low of 20 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt will see a high of 33 degrees and a low of 23 degrees.
