Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed in a telephone call on Sunday latest developments in the Palestinian issue with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, according to an Egyptian statement.
El-Sisi reaffirmed in the telephone call Egypt’s position concerning Palestine and the continuing coordination with Palestinian officials to reach a vision to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace.
Abbas expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s efforts and its historic, stable role in supporting Palestinians’ rights.
The two leaders agreed to continue consultation and coordination.
