Egypt's Sisi gives directive to develop water plants nationwide

During the meeting, the president also called for expanding the implementation of modern irrigation systems, in coordination with all authorities concerned and companies specialized in this field.

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi gave a directive on Wednesday to provide the necessary financial resources to develop all water plants nationwide according to the national project aiming to develop Egyptian villages, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

This came during the president’s meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Mohamed Abdel-Aty, and Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawy.

During the meeting, the president also called for expanding the implementation of modern irrigation systems, in coordination with all authorities concerned and companies specialised in this field.

He also urged raising the awareness of farmers of the benefits and importance of providing water and increasing agricultural production.
