Egypt's Al-Azhar has condemned a terrorist attack that left a French woman dead in Rambouillet, a town southwest of Paris, earlier on Friday.

In a statement, Al Azhar denounced the "cowardly" attack, which "has nothing to do with the teachings of religions."

An administrative worker was stabbed to death inside a police station, before her attacker was shot and killed nearby.
