Egyptian authorities continued to open Rafah crossing for the 12th consecutive day Wednesday to allow stranded Palestinians and humanitarian cases on both sides to cross the border terminal.

Medical and administrative teams are stationed for facilitating the passage of the injured and their escorts to hospitals for treatment, according to official sources at the crossing.

Egypt had exceptionally opened the crossing to enable people stranded on the two sides to cross and to deliver aid to Gazans.

Egypt has also sent tons of medical and humanitarian aid to Gaza to help Palestinians deal with the aftermath of Israel's recent deadly offensive on the strip.
