Al-Azhar offers its condolences to Turkish people over wildfires victims

Six people were killed, tens injured, and hundreds were evacuated as wildfires raged across the country

Egypt’s Al-Azhar, the world's leading Sunni Islamic institution, offered on Sunday its condolences to the Turkish people over the many lives lost in the wildfires that have been spreading in several areas in Turkey over the last week.

Six people were killed, tens injured, and hundreds were evacuated as the flames continue to rage across the country.

“Al-Azhar expresses its solidarity with the Turkish people in the face of this sorrowful incident, we are praying to the Almighty to have mercy on the souls of the victims and to grant the injured a speedy recovery,” Al-Azhar said in its short statement.
