Egypt's new government will be finalised on Friday and officially announced on Saturday, after being approved by President Mohamed Morsi, newly appointed Prime Minister Hisham Qandil said early Friday.
Some members of Kamal El-Ganzouri's interim government will be asked to continue in their positions, Qandil said. He will meet the ministers on Friday to confirm their willingness to accept the new appointments.
There are many capable women in Egypt but there will not be a quota of women in the new government, Qandil said.
Coptic Christians are "partners in the homeland," and will be included in the new government, he added.
