Egyptian state television has announced that a statement from the Egyptian presidency is expected to be made shortly.
President's Hosni Mubarak's last public speech address the current uprising in Egypt was made 10:45pm Wednesday 10 February, in which he announced the transfer of his powers to the vice president, and asserted that he will remain in power until the end of his term in September.
Mubarak's statements left protestors in Tahrir square and across the country dumbfounded and angry.
