Egyptian human rights organisations are to inspect conditions at the pro-Morsi Rabaa Al-Adawiya sit-in.

Mohamed Adel from the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights told Ahram Online that the delegation was going to inspect the situation and investigate claims of torture and weapons possession at the site.

There have been media reports about local residents being tortured at the protest and eye-witness reports of weapons possession.

The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, Al-Nadeem Center, Cairo Center, Hisham Mubarak Human Rights Center and Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights will be part of the delegation.

The country's interim leaders have ordered police to end ongoing protests at the two sites.
