El-Nadeem, centre for the rehabilitation of torture victims, are holding a press conference at the Press Syndicate to discuss the realities of military trials and torture. Released victims, their families, families of current detainees and rights activists are engaging in a discussion to elucidate what happened with the military.
Last Wednesday, 9 March, the army, accompanied by plain-clothed civilians, over-ran Tahrir Square, forcefully ending the sit in. Several activists were arrested that day and have since been charged with thuggery among other things; some were released on the same day while others are awaiting a military trial.
