Egypt’s Prime Minister Essam Sharaf met with European Parliament president Jerzy Buzek, who came to Cairo to discuss possible future cooperation between the Egyptian government and the EP.                   

Saturday’s referendum on constitutional amendments was also brought into the discussion.

Around 25 million people cast their votes in the referendum.

Its results are to be announced in the immediate future.
