Egypt Prime Minister orders release of detainees

Military ordered by Sharaf to release all civilians arrested during the clashes that erupted between the army and the people early Saturday morning 9 April

Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf has ordered the Ministerial Security Committee to release all civilians detained in Tahrir Square on Friday and Saturday.

According to a press statement released by the armed forces yesterday, 42 civilians were arrested on Saturday morning, including three foreigners.
