A court in Ismailiya has adjourned until 18 June the retrial of 11 defendants accused of participation in the Port Said stadium massacre.

At the original trial, the defendants were given sentences ranging from 15 years to life in prison.

In February, a court accepted a prosecution appeal in the case, meaning that 64 defendants will be retried.

The defendants were convicted of the murder of over 70 Ahly fans at a football match in Port Said in February 2012.

In March 2013, a Port Said court handed out death sentences to 21 people -- reportedly fans of local team Masry. It also gave 24 other defendants, among them two policemen, sentences ranging from one year to life in prison.
